The Idaho Humanities Council sponsors a number of programs and provides a variety of resources for K-12 teachers.  The annual summer INSTITUTE is a highlight for teachers from around the state.  TEACHER INCENTIVE GRANTS of up to $1,000 are also available for any Idaho teacher with a great idea to enhance their humanities curriculum.  Applications are due January 15 or September 15.  IHC also has a variety of CURRICULUM GUIDES and other resources available which may be ordered from this site.  OUTSTANDING TEACHERS are recognized by IHC biennially with a cash award to them and to their schools.  Each fall IHC helps sponsor and participates in TEACHERS NIGHT OUT, a free evening for Treasure Valley teachers to learn about resources available to them from numerous local organizations.
