Grant Recipients: Final Reports

All final reports are due 90 days from the closing date of the grant.

Grantees are required to keep all additional supporting documentation – bills, sales receipts, cost-share documentation – for at least three years after the date the final report is submitted. These records must be made available upon request by IHC’s or NEH’s auditor.

MAJOR AND MINI GRANTS
The Final Report must include:
  1. Narrative Evaluation of the project. Click here for the form.
  2. Financial summary of all expenditures – both IHC and cost-share. The summary should include a budget column listing the approved budget from the original proposal and an expenditure column. Click here for a sample.
  3. Full Listing of Actual Expenditures from both IHC and cost-share funds. Click here for a sample.
  4. Cash Request Form if full grant amount awarded has not been previously requested.
TEACHER INCENTIVE GRANTS
The Final Report must include
  1. Narrative Evaluation. Click here for the form.
  2. Financial Summary of all expenditures – both IHC and cost-share. You can use your own accounting system printouts or the the form provided.
RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP GRANTS
  1. Final Report should be no more than five pages:
    • Include an abstract of the project.
    • Set forth the conclusions of the research.
    • Include a description of how it was presented to the academic or public communities, including audience numbers.
  2. Final Budget Report including detail of expenditure of IHC funds and documentation of cost-share.
PLANNING GRANTS
A brief Final Report must account for the expenditure of the funds and provide an evaluation of the activities supported by them. The cost sharing contributed to the planning program should be at least equal to the grant award and should be specified and documented in the final report.
